Circulis is pleased to have been featured in the latest edition of Demolition Hub Magazine, with a multi-page interview discussing the evolution of the business, the future of decommissioning and demolition, and the changing demands facing high-hazard industrial projects.

The interview with Joint Managing Directors James Armstrong and Chris Long covers a range of topics, including:

• the early engineering and demolition experience that shaped the business
• the transition from JAMES Ltd into Circulis Group
• the increasing importance of full lifecycle decommissioning strategy
• project planning within complex industrial environments
• independent technical oversight and project governance
• the future growth of decommissioning, remediation and brownfield regeneration
• the role of AI within project planning and engineering support
• and the future direction of the global decommissioning industry

Throughout the feature, the discussion focuses on how the industry continues to evolve beyond traditional demolition delivery, with increasing emphasis on early planning, strategic thinking, methodology development and maintaining control across the full asset transition lifecycle.

The interview also explores how experience gained within heavy industrial shutdowns, high-hazard facilities and complex dismantling projects naturally developed into broader decommissioning and demolition consultancy support.

As highlighted within the article, successful projects rely heavily on practical planning, strong technical leadership and understanding how early decisions influence safety, programme certainty and commercial outcomes later in the project lifecycle.

The feature also discusses Circulis’ continued growth across sectors including petrochemical, oil and gas, power generation, offshore and nuclear decommissioning, alongside the company’s plans for international expansion.

We would like to thank Demolition Hub Magazine for the opportunity to discuss both the industry’s future direction and the continued evolution of Circulis Group.
