How Can 3D Modelling Help Your Project
LCM

Interested in seeing your assets with high accuracy in 3D? See what JAMES Ltd can offer…

3D modelling has grown in popularity over the last 10-15 years primarily for the design and construction of new structures, plant, and equipment, in addition to the widespread use within manufacturing industries. This is being recognised within the decommissioning, dismantling, demolition and remediation sector, as a consistent and concise tool to aid with the planning, communication and execution of projects to all levels of the team and suppliers.

Models of structures, buildings, plant, equipment and services can be illustrated, in addition to identification of live services, isolation and diversion locations, above and below ground hidden structures, significant hazards such as structural defects, contaminated areas, plant and equipment, as well as the identification of surrounding buildings and infrastructure to remain undisturbed. The models can also be animated to test the project scenarios and sequence methods.

If as built drawings are available, we can generate models in little time, giving you the ability to see inside and out of your industrial assets. Where drawings are not available we also have the capability to survey your assets to give actual 2D and 3D representations using the most current technologies to gather the data.

Got assets with hard to reach areas? Don’t worry, we use the most up to date aerial technology to get to those places, allowing you to identify your hazards and constraints as early as possible.

So what will a JAMES Ltd model give you for your upcoming decommissioning, dismantling, demolition and remediation project?

      • Early recognition of project hazards
      • Updated accurate information of your assets
      • A tool to allow in depth feasibility of options
      • Constructability of new assets. For example, building new facilities to rehouse personnel away from demolition assets
      • Accurate Site information/Preconstruction Information to give to supply chains tendering your projects as driven by local practices and regulation*
      • Decommissioning, dismantling, demolition and remediation sequences that can be understood clearly by everyone in the project team. Most importantly, understood by the professionals who have to execute the work
      • Sequences you can use as part of your tender presentations, showing a standard of professionalism that stands out from the competition

* Local practices and regulation duty holder roles like: CDM Principal Designer (UK), VG-coördinator (Netherlands), SiGeKo (Germany), Coordonnateur SPS (France), Coordinador de Seguridad y Salud CSS (Spain), Coordinatore per la Sicurezza in fase di Progettazione CSP (Italy), Coördinator Veiligheid en Gezondheid (Belgium), Construction Safety Officer (UAE), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator (Singapore),  Owners Engineer(Australia) etc.
